His Glorious Riches

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Ephesians 3:16-19
I am moved each time I read this scripture. Paul's prayer is truly him pouring his heart out to God for the Ephesians. He truly wants them to experience God's love.

There have been many times I have needed people to pray for me as Paul prayed for the Ephesians in this passage. And they did; both out of love for me and love for Christ. They prayed that I would know the love of Christ to its fullest. How wide and long and high and deep that love truly is. And I did know His Love. God has shown His love to me a thousand times over, many times due to people praying for me.

There is nothing that can match Christians truly showing their love for one another by praying to our Father that He would bestow His glorious riches on one another and allow our brothers and sisters to truly experience His love. In this season of waiting, as we near the celebration of Christ's sacrifice for our sins, let us remember the love shown by Him who gave His life for ours and share it with others as Paul shared it with the Ephesians.

Pray for one another, love one another, and truly share the love of Christ with one another. Take a moment right now to pray for someone who needs God, out of His Glorious riches, to strengthen them with power so that Christ would dwell in their heart through faith.
