Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

-Luke 12:6-7

Let me tell you a little fact about myself – I love listening to music. In 2020 alone, I listened to over 1,100 hours of music. There are over 700 songs on my phone, and I know almost every lyric to every song. I look at these numbers and think it is crazy how much I know, but can you imagine how much more music is out there?

When this passage says, “Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered,” my mind almost cannot comprehend it. The amount of knowledge it takes to know every hair on my head? Much more than the amount it takes to learn song lyrics, but that is how amazing our God is. The amount of knowledge God holds is unfathomable, but think of the love that comes with it.

God knows about each and every one of us, and he loves all that he knows. I like to think that he even knows the lyrics of the songs I make up in my head; maybe he even sings them. With each small detail God knows about us, his love becomes even more vast. He knows every dance move you created, he knows every emotion you feel, and he knows your heart.

As you move on from this, keep in mind that God sees you. He knows exactly what is going on in your life. Stay steadfast in the fact that God knows all about you, and he loves each small detail.
